With less than two weeks to the 2019 General Elections, political parties and candidates are crisscrossing the country, campaigning for people’s votes. In the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Candidate Donald Duke appears set to be on the ballot with the Court of Appeal confirming him as the Party’s Flagbearer. For the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), it will remain on the ballot paper for the Presidential Election despite its Candidate, Oby Ezekwesili announcing a withdrawal from the race. This is because the Electoral Act requires Candidates to withdraw candidacy no later than 45 days to the day set for the elections.
