On Tuesday, 26th March 2019, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Adamawa State, Kassim Gaidam announced that supplementary elections will hold in the State on Thursday, 28th March 2019. A High Court in Yola, Adamawa State lifted the injunction it had granted on 14th March 2019, restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from proceeding with supplementary Governorship election in the State. The suit before the Court challenged the Governorship election held on 9th March 2019 and declared inconclusive, on the basis that the logo of the Movement for the Restoration and Defence of Democracy (MRDD) was missing from the ballot paper used for the conduct of the election.
