The 2019 general elections are less than 90 days away and the funds from the approved N189 billion budget for the polls are yet to be released to INEC. The two Chambers of the National Assembly passed a new resolution on the virement of funds for the conduct of the 2019 elections on the 7th and 6th of November, respectively.
Funding is crucial to timely preparations for the conduct of elections. Stifling the Commission of funds may inhibit the progress of certain activities that require early execution.
