The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room (Situation Room) held its North-East Zonal meeting on Wednesday, 8th October 2014 at AUN Hotel Conference Centre & Spa, 228 Modibbo Adama Way, Yola, Adamawa State.
The aim of the North-East zonal meeting was to build up collaboration and co-operation to achieve coverage of polling units in the zone and enable civil society present a true picture of voting across the country during the 2015 general elections.
The meeting also created an opportunity for interaction, experience sharing and peer collaboration amongst CSOs working in the North-East (Borno, Bauchi, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa & Taraba States) and the Situation Room. It enabled Civil Society groups to identify common issues of concern within the zone and articulate a common approach that would help build national consensus, concerted effort and coherence on national issues.
