Initially listed as one of the States where supplementary elections were to hold on 23rd March, Adamawa State Governorship run-off election will not hold as scheduled. A High Court in Yola, on 14th March 2019, granted an order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from conducting the election following an application filed by the Movement for Restoration and Defence of Democracy (MRDD), claiming that its logo was excluded from the ballot paper for the Governorship elections of 9th March 2019. According to INEC Resident Electoral Commission (REC) in the State, Kassim Gaidam, the Commission has filed applications challenging the order.
