The petition against the 2019 Presidential election was concluded on Wednesday, 30th October 2019, as the Supreme Court delivered its verdict on the appeal against the election of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the February 23 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar appealed the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the case of the PDP and its candidate against the All Progressives Congress and President Buhari.
However, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, on the basis that it lacked merit and stated that reasons for its decision would be given on a later date.
