Vice President’s Helicopter Crash-lands

The nation was thrown into tension on Sunday, 3rd February 2019 when news emerged that the helicopter conveying the Vice President and 9 other passengers on a campaign trip to the North Central State of Kogi crash-landed, with all passengers escaping unhurt. The helicopter owned by a private company, Caverton Helicopters reportedly developed malfunction in what was reported to be a challenging weather situation. The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has announced immediate investigation of the incident while concern have been expressed by several Nigerians, including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and President Buhari.
